He is no doubt very competent and caring; however, always seems very rushed like he has an extremely limited amount of time allocated to each patient. Reminds me of the old UPS case studies where drivers were timed via loud clicking clocks and were expected to make a number of deliveries based upon some time/motion studies done however long ago. It seems like the provider expects/is expected to see a certain number of patients per day with time in day divided by number of expected visits. My guess would be that this equates to around 15 minutes maximum per patient. Or at least it seems that way. I find the front desk staff very helpful and kind and also find the staff nurse friendly. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest, I would rate them a 10. The nurse that always sits behind the nurses station, not even acknowledging patients, I would rank a 0. Lab would also rank a 0. I'm assuming the nurse at the desk is also the uncaring individual with whom you speak when you need an appointment or God forbid, some other assistance, ie a prescription refill. Her regular response is that she's unable to offer an appointment any less than four months out and if you need to be sooner, you should go to urgent care. This is the only Atrium facility at which I receive this total lack of common courtesy and friendliness. She and the phlebotomist appear to have a competitive spirit through which they are attempting to treat patients the poorest. If I had another option for another PCP, I would switch due to the treatment received from these two. Enough said. I doubt seriously my input matters.
