I specifically requested a female physician and was told that I would see Sarah Taylor, MD. The nurse that checked me in said "she would be right in". Instead I was seen by a male doctor. I'm not sure if he was a doctor or a PA. I understand that medicine is busy and there's not time to have an actual conversation with clients, but my visit was, in my opinion, lacking. I don't see a dermatologist often. I wanted informed information about my skin issues, but I feel like I got the equivalent of a shoulder shrug. It was adequate but not exactly stellar health care. I get it. The doctors are rushed and very important and I presented a very common skin issue. Maybe I didn't warrant focused care, but my issues are not ordinary or routine to me. I felt insignificant.
